A member of Orlando's 6A state runner-up Dr. Phillips team, 5-11 PG Shane Larkin was named to the all-state boys basketball team this week according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Larkin, son of baseball 12-time All-Star and Hall of Famer Barry Larkin has been called "DePaul's biggest recruit since Mac Koshwal and Dar Tucker came in together in 2007."
ESPN ranks Larkin 26th at his position with three stars and a grade of 91.
Slam Online published a great Q & A with Larkin, who seems like a pretty cool guy, back in November. Larkin is hailed pretty ubiquitously for his dexterity on the point and basketball IQ and control.
